Look what you've done Mr Pau. You came to the West and now everyone else followed..C-Webb is once again a Warrior (an old and gimpy one), Shaq insists that he's good fit for the running spread offense of Suns and of course_ promises a ring (even Wade said he cant picture Shaq in a Suns uniform), and just recently J-Kidd was acquired from the Nets by last year's most disappointing squad, the D Mavericks. Do I really need to mention Mike Bibby leaving the Kings...(as a Laker fan I'm happy for him and honestly I hated him the most when the Kings were a contender)
The West is clearly this year's better conference than the "JV league" a.k.a. the East. With so much depth and talent, no one is guaranteed to make the playoffs up until the very end of the season. The level of competitiveness, particularly in the West, is what makes it more interesting this year. Forget the Big Three in Boston, forget the Detriot Pistons because they wont even get passed King's squad (no not the Sac) this year..quote me on that, and unfortunately_ you can also forget about King's squad in the end because he cant carry this team on his own (sounds really familiar).
So starting tonight, the mighty Lakers and the Suns rivarly is more intensified and also at a higher level. We already know about Shaq's history with the Lakers and how the Suns beat down the Lakers during the playoffs in the past 2 years. That's all in the past now and Shaq is no longer the most dominant big man he used to be.
To cut this blog short, I'll leave you all with this...With Pau Gasol in the Lakers line-up and Shawn Marion no longer with the Suns_ LAKERS IS NOW A BETTER TEAM* (capitalized and bold statement, that's right!).
Can You Dig That?!?
*Win or not, let us not forget that Andrew Bynum is not yet in the line-up..so let's save all the trash-talking comments come playoff time. Unless you really need to get on my face then do so, whatever floats your boat...or should I say bandwagon?
